Fort Smith is a city bordering Oklahoma. Historically, it was the site of a fort sitting at the edge of the frontier. Isaac Parker, the hanging judge, oversaw extreme justice. The trail of tears led through Fort Smith across the Arkansas river into Indian Territory. Bass Reeves legend can be told out of Fort Smith. It is a historic city worth visiting.
